How to Build a Bar!
There are 5 things a man should always have at his place Building the bar itself is the easy part; think about it...it's just a box with alcohol in it. Use your God given man skills and toolbox to build it. You can buy one if you like but there is alot more satisfaction in it if you build it yourself. Keep in mind the appearance of the bar is not the most important aspect of the bar...the contents are! So with that in mind here are some bar essentials, I recommend your bar include all of them LIQUORS -Two kinds of Vodka both Cheap, to mix (Bankers Club or Valdy) and Expensive (Kettle One or Grey Goose) -Two kinds of Whiskey usually Seagrams and Jack Daniels will do fine -Tequila - while Jose is an asshole from time to time no one beats him, if you want a good bar then you need to let Mr. Cuervo into your home -3 Kinds of Schnapps - The flavors are yours to choose, I suggest Butterscotch, Apple, and Peach -Jagermeister - If you start doing shots you'll need it, Keep it chilled though -Gin and Vermouth- Beefeater is a good choice, even thought the name is kind of gay -Everclear or 151, you need something that can step up the alcohol content of the drink -Triple Sec...An alcoholic mixer...why are there not more of these! -At least 1 beer on tap, invest in a kegerator it's worth it and will pay for itself over time. I suggest building a kegerator of your own out of a full size fridge. It gives you a place to store the ice as well as the mixers you will need for a great bar. MIXERS -Coke Now that you have all the consumables for your bar you need to get the hardware. -Frosty Mugs - Good for both Beer and Liquor -Shaker - it just screams high class -Good Shot Glasses - they match not just be random souvenirs from bars and trips -Some form of bar entertainment...I use this....but some people go with
a deck of cards or dice. |
